Though several are currently listed on Cleanup and have been edited a bit, VfD might be a better place, since they are so slanted that deleting and starting anew is probably the wisest strategy.

I think deleting them is a bad idea. If we can't avoid an edit war, all this achieves is making the beginning of it viewable only by sysops. I don't think that's going to help.
