I asked her personally and she said it was true, and at that moment I
assumed we can find a source quickly enough and and I know that bringing
the section in question to the attention of good editors will bring
about quick positive change.

That's an odd assumption. I've come across plenty of facts I knew to be
true, but at some point the source that backs them up disappears without
ever returning.
And naturally those are the sources that aren't archived by the internet
archive.
