do realize that shutting the
site down never was a possibility, but you still have to admit that media
attention on the scale that Wikipedia, and by extension Jimbo, are getting
is enough to try anyone's patience when they're trying to fix what the
media's yelling at them for.

Certainly. Once you start regularly receiving requests for interviews
from international media about your top-ten Web site, you will be
welcome to use that "excuse."
