Actually, that's not true. The permanent damage is the loss of time.
When I spend a minute bringing up an article, looking at a diff,
checking history and contribs to see if there is more, that's a
minute that I'm not adding facts or checking them, and that minute
is gone forever.
Volunteers' time is our most precious resource - don't throw it
away so casually.
I don't consider it that precious. There's a lot of time in the world.
No individual participant, in the greater scheme of things, is
particularly crucial to the project.
Volunteers' enjoyment, however -- that's precious.
And to that end we do need to continue to find ways to happily manage
the project.
