In the real world, at least, notability is relative. I am
notable in my family and in my circle of friends, but I'm not
notable enough in the real world to have a Wikipedia article.
A scientist can be extremely notable in his field but unheard
of in the rest of the world. Etc.
(Now, I know, someone mentioned we weren't talking about
real-world notability here, but rather Wikipedia notability.
I suppose that makes a difference to the argument, though I'm
still not sure exactly what.)
