every channel was providing 24-hour coverage related to it, pre-
empting just about everything else. Was this done for Smith?
There is also a matter of newsworthy consequential events. To the best
of my knowledge no countries have yet been invaded as a direct
consequence of Miss Smith's death. ... unless you want to count that
flurry of lawyers into The Bahamas. ;-)
