What about the potential harm that userboxes may/will cause
to the project?
I would rather have a whole forest full of remote potential harm than a bear
rampaging through my living room. This whole userbox thing has been grossly
mishandled in a manner which must be familiar to every Wikipedian of more
than a few weeks standing. We have a few damfool admins throwing their
weight around and escalating the conflict, when they should have stood back,
tucked their manhood away and realised that they were being goaded into
thundering and trumpeting over absolute trivia. Who cares if an editor
breaks his morning egg at the big end or the little and displays his
preference in a userbox?
Pete, recognising that while it is a great deal of fun to goad an arrogant
admin into making a fool of himself, it doesn't get the encyclopaedia
written
