put up or shut up is bureaucracy which is a violation of [[WP:NOT]].
Articles should never EVER be tagged for deletion for the sake of a process.
If an article has trivial flaws (such as lack of sources), correcting is
much easier, faster, and productive than involving any kind of process.

Mmm. I don't think we need a new formal process for this - but I do
think the existing expansion of PROD into "put up or shut up" is
occasionally necessary.
