Personally, the resources provided by the conter-vandalism unit have helped
me greatly in fighting vandals. Frequently I've found an isolated incident
of vandalism that was part of a wider problem, but wouldn't have known about
it had it not been for the IRC channel or documentation provided by the CVU.
Generally, in cases like this, I find that it's the people who don't use the
resources who declare them to be useless. An interesting irony. As for the
title, I think you may be taking it a bit too seriously. I thought the title
was funny.
*Seriously, just relax, and get back to improving the encyclopedia, rather
than railing against people who choose to improve the encyclopedia in a way
different from how you do it.*

This exactly spells out my problems with the CVU. Vandals (often no
more than people testing) are treated as The Enemy, yes, almost as
terrorists. Actually, they are potential recruits.
