That logo btw is another big proof that this community is awesome and
can be trusted. There were quite a few skeptics back then saying that
opening up the design and then voting on the logo of what was supposed
to become one of the most important Wikimedia projects wasn't a
terribly brilliant idea by Denny and me. Especially as the project was
so young. (And I have to confess I had a few sleepless nights as well
back then :D) But it turned out really well. I love all the things
people have done with it for the Wikiprojects too:
