I am sure most of this list does not need it, but if anyone knows someone in the UK who might be interested, there'll be a session in London at the end of the month.

Hi all,
There will be a Wikidata training workshop on Saturday 28 September at Development House. The event will be led by Addshore, who is part of the Wikidata development team. As a volunteer, he is an administrator on the project. Places are limited, if you would like to attend, please sign up on https://uk.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikidata_training.

This is a good idea. Can Addshore upload on Commons the presentation? I'm going to give some presentations too in Italy next month to some librarians about Wikidata, and with Wikimedia Italia we're also planning of having workshops on how to use Wikidata and how to connect libraries with WMF projects.
If it's any help, my "introduction to Wikidata" workshop from April is here:
http://www.slideshare.net/generalising/introduction-to-wikidata
- the audience was primarily librarians (including some of the ISNI authority control working group) and digital-humanities people.
Unfortunately, they're from April and we've built a lot of stuff since then :-)

Hey :)
Anyone doing workshops or giving talks: Please do add them to https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:Events so they can be promoted in the weekly summaries for example. If you've done one in the past that isn't listed please add it too.
Cheers Lydia

... and there is https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Project:Calendar too, which shows up at the http://mediawiki.org homepage and at the WMF monthly report. From there it might also go to wikitech-announce [1] and our social media channels [2].
I have added three events from that list (including the Wikidata training in UK) but I wasn't sure about the participation at Latinoware and Digitale Bibliothek. Feel free to add these entries at the Calendar, or provide more details here / at the Wikidata page.
Thank you!
