🌍✨ Happy International Women's Day ✨🌍👩

In celebration of this important day and as part of the Wikidata & OpenStreetMap Datathon & Mapathon during International Open Data Days 2025, we are launching a special mapping initiative today to identify and document Women Police Stations in OpenStreetMap & Wikidata. 🚔👩‍✈️

Women Police Stations play a vital role in ensuring women’s safety, justice, and empowerment. Mapping them helps make crucial information more accessible to communities, supports gender-based safety initiatives with reliable open data, and strengthens OpenStreetMap and Wikidata by adding important public infrastructure data.

How can you participate?
  • Contribute to OpenStreetMap: Create / Improve the Women Police Stations and link to Wikidata.[1]
  • Contribute to Wikidata: Create / Improve the Women Police Stations and link to OSM.[2]
Did you know? 🤔
When and where was the world's first Women Police Station established?

Map your nearest Women Police Stations to make them more accessible and visible on OpenStreetMap and Wikidata. 🌍
