Have you tried the mobile version of Wikipedia (for example en.m.wikipedia.org) ?

This is probably a bit out of scope for Wikidata, becouse the issue of how mobile versions of wikis work with older browsers is an wider issue that also affects MediaWiki and MobileFrontend.
