Hi Vladimir

Yikes. I'm glad to know as we are just starting to tag items.

Is there another property that could be substituted instead on Wikidata?

We need a category to constrain the items by a query -- to identify the subject as being part of the Black Lunch Table area of interest, which is Visual artists of the African diaspora.

Any ideas?

It seems wrong to tag items with Black Lunch Table, as that has little meaning across the projects, as far as conveying quickly what the connection is -- at least for the Task list functionality. That was why the categories seemed so logical.

Hi Erica! As I can see at https://tools.wmflabs.org/reasonator/?&q=28654190, you misuse WD prop "topic's main category" to make a list of things related to a category. But that property is intended to be used only once per category: to list its single main item (if any).

You're not alone in such "misuse": I also need it for some projects. However, creating a prop "category" or "useful for" was rejected, see https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:Property_proposal/Archive/30#category.
Does anyone think we should reopen this discussion?
