Thanks for sharing this! We are expecting many newcomers at the Hackathon, and it would be great to have projects to direct them to.

We have created a newcomers page <https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Hackathon_2022/How_to/Newcomers>, which anyone is welcome to edit.

There will also be a newcomers virtual "room" throughout the event- if you're interested in working with new developers, stop by and say hello! Links will be posted closer to the event.
