Being
able to declare certain "properties of properties" is an essential
building block for querying and inference. However, the way to declare
that a property is, say, transitive in OWL does not have a clear analog
in Wikidata syntax. We could certainly shoehorn such a statement into
our existing model (and it looks like we'll need to), but it is
important to do so in a way that complicate things as little as possible for
downstream users, e.g. outside researchers or developers using the RDF
exports and assuming standard OWL semantics.
