Yea, I was erring on the side of caution here. Any fully automated import would have to skip any free text, because it *might* be protected.
I think there is a danger to be overly cautious. The purpose of infoboxes is to express knowledge in a consise way. One might want to add an additional protection by refusing any text that consists of more than 3 sentences or a given number of words (20?).
