Yes, I wanted to say this too! Even a single use of "uselang" in the examples would have been helpful. Plus, it does seem strange that all the examples involve data being both queried and displayed in English.

I agree - it would be great if help pages like

could also mention parameters such as "uselang", even if those apply to
all of MediaWiki.
