Possibly of interest to some of you.
Note there will be a Wikidata workshop:
http://www.isb-sib.ch/events/biocuration2016/workshops#WS6 - similar
to the one currently discussed for SWAT4LS next week in the parallel
thread at
https://lists.wikimedia.org/pipermail/wikidata/2015-December/007786.html .

Hey everyone :)
Things seem to be going well so we'll move forward and give another
bunch of projects access to the data on Wikidata. They so far only
have access to the sitelinks. This will be: Wikispecies, MediaWiki,
Meta and Wikinews. We'll do this on 2. December.
Cheers
Lydia

Hi,
I was wondering if there are some statistics about the usage of Wikidata
within Wikipedia (in templates or directly through articles).
I tried to calculate it through DBpedia but not sure if the numbers I got
are correct
e.g. tracking these templates
<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1tKpTriL9wZ8BTcXTEEcS5kS_GUys8_7ioKD4Cnl…>
and
testing English Wikipedia (October dump) I got
173 usages in templates (out of which 45 in sandbox templates) and
and ~7.8K in articles with ~30 using arbitrary access (from=)
Trying the same in itwiki for testing I got
189 usages in templates (75 sandbox)
and ~300 in articles
but maybe Italian Wikipedia uses other wrapper templates that I did not
look into
Any pointers / hints are appreciated
Cheers,
Dimitris

Hoi,
Is it possible to ask people to add a label when we know a person is from a
given country and when it does not have a label in the language of the land?
Is it possible to make a game out of it?
Thanks,
GerardM
