Well that took a little bit longer than I expected, but I've finally finished indexing all of Wikidata.org in Cirrus/Elasticsearch. It's currently enabled as the secondary index, so you can test it the usual way with srbackend parameters.
If things look good and people are satisfied with the results we can look at making it a primary index in the near future.

Hi Chad,
Thanks for working on that!

Can you clarify please or give a link? Then I can ask people to test it and give feedback.
Cheers Lydia

That should be something along the lines of [0]. Just add srbackend=CirrusSearch to GET params.
Cheers Lydia

Would
be nice to have a gadget that enables this permanently...

Add the following line to your user common.js page, to always use CirrusSearch backend:
importScript('User:Aude/searchbackend.js');
Hopefully we can enable Cirrus as default for everyone soon. :)
Thanks Chad for getting Cirrus enabled and indexing Wikidata.
Cheers, Katie

PS. it still looks to me like we have some fine tuning to do, but still is a big improvement.
If folks can try it out and give feedback, that would be very helpful.
Cheers, Katie
