Ok, status on the globe coordinate issues:

We have 3 patches merged into master:

They are supposed to solve the following issues:

and probably some more flaws not covered by the bug descriptions.

I am about to backport them to mwf6 so they can be deployed whenever possible.

We should also let volunteers/community know that they should not invest much time into fixing the frontend coordinate parser as it will be completely removed and replaced by the backend solution.

Any comments?
