Hi Abdulfattah,

the data is not synced between Infoboxes and Wikidata.

A lot of the data in Wikidata has been extracted from Infoboxes (using scripts) and added to Wikidata, but that was done by users scraping the content, not programmatically on our side.

Also some Infoboxes make (partial) use of data from Wikidata, but by far not all… the South Pole Telescope probably is a good example of an Infobox which is solely composed from Wikidata data: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_Pole_Telescope (see the Infobox inclusion in the source: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=South_Pole_Telescope&action=edit). There are many similar examples and probably even more Infoboxes that have their own data and also use some data from Wikidata.

Cheers,

Marius

Hi,
What is the relation between WikiData and Wikipedia info boxes?
- Which is the source of the other?
- Is the data synced among them?
