WikidataCon update - May 2025 - Programme Track announcement

Hello everyone, here is an exciting update about the upcoming online *WikidataCon 2025 <https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Special:MyLanguage/Event:WikidataCon_2025>* conference. The program tracks are here! Soon we will be welcoming your session ideas on the following themes: - *The Future of Wikidata *What comes next? The tech, the infrastructure, modelling, and ideas. We're talking AI, LLMs, Blazegraph, emerging technologies and anything else you can think of that will shape the future of Wikidata. - *Lexemes and Languages *Lexemes, lexicographical data and anything related - *Linked Open Data Ecosystem *Topics about Wikibase in any of its forms, connecting Wikibase instances to each other or to Wikidata, Federation and the broader LOD Ecosystem - *Reuse and Data Partnerships *Data Reuse, the REST API, non-Wiki institutions or individuals using Wikidata's data, GLAM showcase. - *Providing the World with High Quality Data *Obtaining and maintaining good data for WikiProjects, Data Quality & Data Modelling, dealing with vandalism, improvements in bot processes. - *Other *Want to talk about something that doesn't really fit elsewhere? [Wikidata] WDQS Backend Update - May 2025

Hello Wikidata community, As mentioned in previous communications [1], we are continuing forward on the WDQS public graph split. The next stage of our rollout is to change query.wikidata.org to point to the main graph (which can also be reached directly on query-main.wikidata.org), whereas the scholarly graph will be available on query-scholarly.wikidata.org. Most queries should run fine on the appropriate graph (main vs scholarly), but for queries that must run across the full dataset, the queries must be (re)written to use SPARQL federation [2]. You can ask for help to rewrite your queries [3]. If you encounter issues please feel free to report a problem [4]. If you need more time to do the transition you can use the new legacy endpoint [5] (query-legacy-full.wikidata.org) which contains the full Wikidata graph, but is limited in terms of performance and availability. Please be mindful when using this legacy endpoint and use it only if really needed. This endpoint will be available until December 2025. We are moving to this next stage on *Monday May 5* (*2025-05-05*). Please correct my information or remove it ASAP

Dear Sir or Madam, I've tried several times to change my information; I'm a US citizen and my dob I changed it from 1958 to 1968. After correcting it, I pressed publish. It worked right away BUT the information returned to the wrong again. Please, if you can't correct it, I prefer to remove it from your site. Let me know what else I can do. Thank you, Ms. Grub
