Dear Wikibase Community,

We are excited to share that we are in our alpha version for the feature for Ontology Federation!

This feature allows you to add Wikidata items to a Wikibase instance. Please note that this feature is still a work in progress. There are also some shortcomings we would like to make you aware of:

The representation of federated items in the API has not been worked on, yet. It will be part of one of upcoming work packages and we would like to get feedback on API requirements. -

Reconciling the QueryService with the newly added federated items is a subject of active investigation and development.
