It's that time again: the often-monthly meeting of the Wikibase Community User Group takes place today at 15:00 UTC (so 16:00 for those of us in the UK, 17:00 in CEST, or 11:00 US EDT):

Last month ended with a brief comment
about
a call for software development proposals, kicking off a flurry of behind-the-scenes work by members in collaboration with the Wikibase Stakeholder Group; cumulating in two proposals outlined on today's agenda, for form-filling entity creation and conversion
of the existing OpenRefine reconciliation service into an extension:

Due to the time pressure, these proposals were submitted by the group's WMF contacts - Lozana and myself - prior to this meeting, though not before we were satisfied with them. But they're still only the first
step, so we'd like to hear your thoughts today, too!
Competition
is significant, and there's no guarantee that either proposal will be funded, let alone both. But if they are, we'll need to have further discussions about e.g. how to handle the funds involved - and since we'd have to move reasonably quickly to get things
done by the end of the year, it wouldn't hurt to think a bit about that in advance, too.
Hope to see you there,
