Dear Mohammed,

Thanks so much for organizing the community meeting yesterday! I think it was a great start to a conversation and I am looking forward to seeing what's next.

Since as I understand from the WMDE team, they are happy for the community to self-organize such events, I am taking this opportunity to propose here a dedicated meeting to discuss issues around modeling GLAM data in Wikibase.

A few people in the chat yesterday expressed interest, but I don't know them personally, so sharing this email here more globally. If there is interest in such a specific meetup, I am happy to chair it and organize an agenda. Perhaps people interested can respond here (or get in touch on Telegram) and I will then proceed to follow up and organize a date that might work for most people.

Many thanks,

Hi everyone,

Wikimedia Germany is pleased to announce the reintroduction of monthly Wikibase live sessions. Following your feedback in the Wikibase Insights Survey we sent out earlier in June that recognized respondents’ need for live sessions, we hope that these video calls will provide technical and non-technical support for participants and allow direct engagement with the Wikibase development team.

The first meeting on Thursday, July 2nd at 1600 UTC will be about Data Modeling in the context of Libraries. Finding a time that works for everybody is not possible, but we hope that this time may allow many people across different time zones to participate.

Feel free to write to me or reach us on this talk page if you have any questions.

Details about how to participate is below:

* Data Modeling in the context of Libraries

* Time: 16:00 UTC, 1 hour, Thursday 2 July 2020
