There is no hard limit on the number of statements you can have on a single Entity, be it a Q-item or L-item.

That said, at some point, you will run into complications with larger numbers of statements. The UI is not optimized for this use case and will show all statements, making navigating difficult. You'll also run into performance issues due to a large amount of data being fetched and rendered.
