Liebe Wikipedia Community,
For those of you who are interested in artificial intelligence and who speak
some German, under
http://www.lsv.uni-saarland.de/answergatherer/
we have developed a Web experiment based on (German) Wikipedia for the purpose
of data gathering to improve the state-of-the-art in automatic question
answering.
The basic idea is to gather question-answer pairs - relying on the Wikipedia
volunteer community - and then to use techniques of machine learning
to build better Q&A systems.
If you happen to know any German speakers who might want to contribute, please
point them to the above URL (people can win book vouchers).
We are considering launching a similar experiment for English.
Regards,
Jochen Leidner
