Hoi,<br>There has been an article in Nature about &quot;wikis for professionals&quot; ($30,-) , it was followed by an article in arstechnica that gives a free impression. Here science in the bio-medical field is discussed. Mutatis mutandis it works for any domain; what is relevant for the correct functioning is the appreciation that the terminology of the domain has to be known to the underlying resource .. it being MediaWiki based .. it being OmegaWiki. 
<br><br>The articles explain stuff, the demo at <a href="http://wikiprofessional.info">wikiprofessional.info</a> give a nice demo with some impressive numbers. Yes, it could do atmospheric research.. it needs to learn the terminology.
