With Michael, Mary, and Alice, I had the chance to see the production when it was in NYC, and I completely agree with the TimeOutNewYork praise of the performance, except I would awarded SIX STARS! After the performance we saw, there was an audience talk-back with company members who provided a fascinating glimpse into how a Winedalian sense of play contributed to the production we saw. And THE METHOD GUN also made me realize how much better Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman would have been if it had a tiger!

The production received FIVE STARS. Anyone who follows this publication (as I do) knows that maybe a handful of productions in the entire year of New York theater receives FIVE STARS. These critics are tough. Major congratulations to Madge and the Rude Mechs for being the talk of the town.
For some reason in my scanning of the attached review you cannot make out the Five Stars (they are in the black portion of the review directly below the title). But they are there in a bold way in the magazine.
