I saw it this weekend, and was I amazed, charmed, brought to tears,
turned on (by the balloons-tied-to-penises dance: it’s a “new kind of
theater” – so exciting!), mesmerized by the raw technical skill these friends
bring to the stage, made to envy the fun they are having and documenting and
analyzing and displaying.
It was the closing night in New York when I saw it, but if they’re going
elsewhere with it – get there.
Doc, your name appears in the closing thank-you-to-our-great-teachers
credits (apparently, in EVERY show, no matter what the audience submits).
It was a beautiful circle, never closing, always expanding and spreading, that
they created.
Love to you all,
David

The production received FIVE STARS. Anyone
who follows this publication (as I do) knows that maybe a handful of
productions in the entire year of New York theater receives FIVE
STARS. These critics are tough. Major
congratulations to Madge and the Rude Mechs for being the talk of the
town.
For some reason in my scanning of the
attached review you cannot make out the Five Stars (they are in
the black portion of the review directly below the title). But they are
there in a bold way in the magazine.
