Dear David,

Congratulations on your promotion and for letting the world know there're important things to be done with a near-PhD in English.

And I would suggest,  "... the general public, though, asking if we can throw a neighbor ...," thereby avoiding a pesky possessive pronoun. Unless it should be "some neighbors." (Do I need a comma above, after "suggest"?)

Thanks for the photos from your mini-reunion.

Finally, what is Thai cole slaw?

Love,

Mary

Yeah, we get a lot of that.  But my company helps people get INTO the country by making it cheaper for attorneys to file their cases.   Occasionally we get calls from the general public, though, asking if we can throw there neighbor (or ex-boyfriend, etc. etc.) OUT of the country because (they say) they're here illegally.

I like to think we're good guys -- even though we're all Giants fans.

Congratulations on your promotion, immigrant-tracking David.  You're not working for Rick Perry, are you?

And, to take a page from Mike Godwin and shamelessly self-promote (love you, Mike, you know it), here's a page from the web version of the San Francisco Chronicle:
