Hi, Alice.
If I understand you correctly, the spam filtering is happening on your end (that is, either through your service provider or through the email software that you're using). With regard to your service provider, you may want to email them and ask how to solve the problem, if they're the ones labeling weeklong-l content as spam. With regard to your email software, all modern software enables you to whitelist (i.e., the opposite of "blacklist" certain domains and email addresses). This is true even if you primarily use a web-based email client (I use Gmail, for example).
If none of these suggestions is helpful, you may want to consider getting a Gmail account, which you can configure to do all this sorting for you, and at the same time ensure that email sent to your Gmail account is also sent to your Earthlink account.
I'm pretty sure there's no spam filtering or labeling happening on the Weeklong-L server end -- what happens normally is that stuff that appears to be spam to that server is held for me to moderate.

Mike, while you're at it, can you keep my address on the weeklong list from going into my own spam folder no matter how I redirect it or unblock it?
Many thanks, and thanks for the discussion around Coriolanus, which I follow as a guilty never-read-it observer.

I notice that there's some spam coming from Kathy Blackbird's email address. I'm going to disable that email address for now on the mailing list -- Kathy or someone else can tell me whether to reactivate that address, or to enter another one for her.
Thanks, and sorry for the hassle.

Folks, I haven't been getting messages about backlogs of weeklong-l mail because those messages were sent to my old (deactivated) email account. I've stepped in today and fixed/unclogged that mailing list, which explains why you're getting months-old mail from weeklong-l. I'm trying to ensure that the weeklong-l mini-mailing-list remains active, if we should need it. Please forgive my not attending to this sooner.
