Mike,

To supplement the list, Matt also had two excellent suggestions for Measure for Measure, including the great (and potentially funny) prison scene featuring Claudio's fear-of-death speech that echoes some of the images and ideas in Hamlet's "To Be or Not To Be" soliloquy but without all the cultural baggage and onerous stage history, i.e., it's still fresh and not overdone.  Here's the excerpt from Matt's earlier email:

"To Bob's suggestion of the *Measure for Measure* Angelo-Isabella scene, I'd add the opening scene, in which the duke sets up Angelo, and the exchange in the prison between Isabella and Claudio ("of those that lawless and uncertain thought / imagine howling....")"

Bob

St. Mike, thanks for this list. Please add the wooing scene in Taming. Thanks!

Happy to include it, Mary, with the caveat that we did that scene in 2005. If you rail about this, I'll say you sing as sweetly as the nightingale.
