Dear fellow translators,
I come to you to request your help to translate the Media participation survey 2009; It is organized by the team from the Multimedia Usability project; it aims to better understand how people use Commons and how to make it easier to contribute multimedia content to Wikimedia websites.
We plan to run the survey before the 2009 Fundraiser. To be included in the survey, a translation must be completed before 08:00 am, Sunday 25 October (UTC). As a translator myself, I designed the survey so that it be easy and quick to translate: there are only 11 simple questions, and many answers are similar. However, I know the deadline is very short, and I apologize deeply. I will be very grateful even if only a few languages are available.
The translation request is located at http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Media_participation_survey . I already did the French translation myself.
If you have any question about the survey, or if you are unsure about the meaning of something, please do not hesitate to contact me, preferably by e-mail or IRC (I'm guillom there), but talk page is ok too.
Many thanks in advance for your help!

The translation request is located at http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Media_participation_survey .
The above page has no survey questions in it.
I already did the French translation myself.
But the above french page /fr does have questions in line.
What is the mystery. How to get the questions in English to translate them?
That would be English > Hindi by me.

This is the request page, that only describes the context of the request. The text to translate is located at http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Media_participation_survey/en . You are not the first one to consider this confusing, I added a big link on the page.

The panel on the right of all pages allows you to navigate through translations. If a language is not shown, one has to add it to the navigation template. I just added Hindi for your convenience. You just have to click "missing" near "hi/हिन्दी " at the bottom of the translation panel. If you have any problem, feel free to ask me privately by e-mail and I will provide my assistance.
Thank you for your help!

First of all, I would like to say a HUGE thanks to all the people who have helped and who are helping translate the survey. I wholeheartedly thank you for your help.
Now, a brief status update: * I just added de, fr, fi, pl and tr to the survey system. Thanks! * In the meantime, ru was completed, I'll add it shortly. * da, it, nl, pt, cs, vi & ms need proofreading or updating. Since they are almost done, it would be great if they could be ready soon, I would have less work on Sunday. * ja & mk are in progress.
*es is missing*. A translator volunteered, but unfortunately he translated the wrong page (the request instead of the survey). Given the amount of Spanish speakers worldwide, I would really like to have a Spanish translation. Could someone please take a look?
Again, many thanks for your help; I appreciate it very much! Cheers,
Hello there, thank you for your collaboration always. Along Guillaume, we at Transcom thank you guys a lot for helping the survey translation.
A brief update: * da, it, nl & cs as well as ja & mk are ready to publish. * pt, ca, ms & vi need proofreading. * Zh-hant and es are now taken care of. Thanks a lot, and we'd love to see them finalized :) Zh-hans translators are welcome too.
I would like to thank here personally Takot and Kzhr who smartly and quickly finished my fast-hand translation work on ja version ;) In a sum we spent less than 30 minutes or so ... no big deal indeed. Until the deadline, we have still some hours :)
Again, many thanks for your help!

I see that some translators are still translating the survey. Thank you very much for your help. However, the deadline has now expired, and we can't modify the survey once it is running. As a consequence, we can't add new translations to the survey.
Thanks,
