Hey folks,
Two things.
a) First, passing along this from my colleague Elena, a platform that could
hopefully be of interest: Wikimedia Space
<https://discuss-space.wmflabs.org/> is a joint discussion/blog prototype
<https://discuss-space.wmflabs.org/t/introducing-wikimedia-space-a-platform-for-movement-news-and-conversations/142>
aimed at facilitating collaboration across the movement. The admins have
set up a Translation discussion category
<https://discuss-space.wmflabs.org/c/translation> on the discussion board,
and are welcoming translators to come post about things relevant to our
work.
The platform is still in prototype phase, so there's plenty of room for
translators to test and determine how to best configure Space for your
needs. Feel free to poke around the Space how-to
<https://discuss-space.wmflabs.org/c/about-wikimedia-space/forum-how-to>
subcategory, which contains posts about features already available and how
to use them, and the Space feature requests subcategory
<https://discuss-space.wmflabs.org/c/about-wikimedia-space/space-feature-requests>
is where Wikimedians are discussing additional features and tools that
could be added.
(The discussion board is run on the Discourse software, and has a number of
facilitation tools (you can reply to posts, like posts, easily link to
different forms of multimedia, mark questions as resolved, open new
discussion topics, tag topics, configure notifications to follow certain
tags and so on). There are also some other tools that have been missing,
including centralized map <https://discuss-space.wmflabs.org/c/events/l/map>
and calendar <https://discuss-space.wmflabs.org/c/events/l/calendar>
features, where folks have already started uploading their events. Signing
up is fairly straightforward
<https://discuss-space.wmflabs.org/t/how-to-join-wikimedia-space/113>.)
b) Second, this is sort of for you:
