What about a wikipedia christmas calendar? It can maybe preview some articles or something similar. Then it can be multilingual.

It might be better to post this on foundation-l http://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/foundation-l. Translators-l isn't for deciding what to translate, it's about translating the stuff we need to translate for the Foundation.
