There was nothing wrong in keeping it except that your revert causes errors when using the translation memory.

The text of the newsletter is now stable; you can translate safely. There
won't be any more changes.

I've added one item since yesterday, about the file metadata cleanup.

I've also removed the items under "Software changes this week" and replaced
them by a short note, since it was decided to postpone all the changes for two
weeks. I will re-add the items in two weeks and I'll also add the existing
translations so that your work not be done in vain. I apologize for the
change.
