Od května do července 2017 prováděli výzkumníci osobní pohovory s 64 novými i zkušenými editory Wikipedie v Jižní Koreji a Česku. Některé studie týkající se nových editorů a jejich motivace sice již dříve proběhly, většinou se však zabývaly jen velkými Wikipediemi. Česká a korejská Wikipedie byly vybrány, aby reprezentovaly Wikipedie střední velikosti. Detailní výsledky byly zveřejněny ve výzkumné zprávě.
