So I promised I would keep you guys in the loop.
The extension still is sending out repeating notifications a day after the
last request. As as a result we have blocked my meta staff account and
locked out the translation notification bot that delivers local
notifications to you guys in hope that this will at least stem more
duplicates
The main bug for this issue is
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=42715 but some of us believe
that its related to issues with the jobqueue (see:
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=42614)
Any questions, let me know :)

Hey guys,
I wanted you to be aware that the translation notification extension is
currently broken.
People are getting multiple notifications about the same translation
despite only one notification request going out. Some people have been
getting 4 or more requests.
I am really sorry for the flooding of talk pages, I have only just become
aware of it. I'm going to recommend to all the translation admins that the
use of the notification extension is avoided at all costs until we can
identify the cause of the bug.
Ill keep you guys updated on this with this thread and ill post a link to
the bug asap.
