Greetings,

The WMF Language team is planning to enable the MinT (Machine in Translation) translation service on Wikimedia wikis where the Translate extension is enabled. Translators will be able to use suggestions from MinT to translate pages using the Translate extension. Currently there are 46 sites where the Translate extension is enabled. To ensure a smooth rollout and cater to increasing demand, we plan to enable the service in a staggered manner over the next few weeks starting with sites that have lower traffic. You can subscribe to this task on Phabricator to track the progress of the roll out.

MinT is a new translation service by the Wikimedia Foundation Language Team that is based on open source neural machine translation models and supports over 200 languages. The service is hosted in Wikimedia Foundation infrastructure, and it runs translation models that have been released by other organizations with an open source license.

You can read more about MinT and share your feedback in the project summary page or in the support page here. Please also go through the known issues, in particular this one, which affects strings that contain wikitext markup.
