This is a planned announcement about testing the new wikitext mode in
Extension:VisualEditor. This tool will let you use the visual editor's
toolbar and features (including the automatic citoid service!) while
editing raw wikitext.
*If you have very little time*, then please consider translating the
two-sentence summary, which says:
*Summary*: There's a new opt-in Beta Feature of a wikitext mode for the
visual editor <https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/2017_wikitext_editor>. Please go
try it out
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-betafeat…>
.
I would very much like to have those two sentences translated in as many
languages as possible. Thank you for your help.

how should I prepare a link like [[:en:UTF-8|UTF-8]] with tvar ?
The easy way is [[<tvar|link>:en:UTF-8</>|UTF-8]], I guess.
But it would be better if the link would lead to the localized wikipedia
article if it does exist, but fallback on the original otherwise. Such a
behaviour is in fact rather tricky to perform, and I'm little stuck
there, trying to misc. combination of "{{#translation:}}" and
"Special:MyLanguage/". Maybe some magic keyword jedi master might help
here? :)
Greetings,
After a series of successful A/B tests of Hovercards we would like to ask
the communities who participated in the tests to enable the feature by
default. Help translating this message into the local languages would be
very helpful.
Note: The first few sentences on the linked to page are targeted at
specific languages. Please only translate into the language describe. I
tried to leave notes in the editing interface as to which language I'm
needing. Please reach out if there is confusion.
As always, your help is tremendously appreciated.

Hi translators!
A first release of a major new feature of the Content Translation extension
will be deployed to Wikipedia next week: A template editor.
It will give the article translators much more control over how the
template adaptation works.
There are only a few messages to translate for this. Here's a direct link
for translating it in translatewiki.net :
https://translatewiki.net/wiki/Special:Translate?filter=!translated&action=…
Thank you!

I'm planning to send the newsletter on Monday afternoon (UTC), i.e.
Monday morning PT. The existing translations will be posted on the
wikis in that language.
There may be a few more edits by Friday, but the existing content
should generally remain fairly stable. I will let you know on Friday
in any case.
Let me know if you have any questions, comments or concerns. As
always, I appreciate your help and feedback.

Hello dear translators,
The search team at the Foundation would like to run a few tests on the
Catalan, Polish, and Italian Wikipedias. We'd like to let the communities
know our intent to run these tests, and a translated message for their
Village Pump is just the thing to start the conversation.
As always, your help is greatly appreciated.
