What about automatic notifications/warnings of excessive usage?
Will they be set up as well or should we write our own scripts?

2007/6/9, River Tarnell < river@wikimedia.org>:
hello,

disk quotas will be reinstated shortly.  the default per-user soft quota will
be 256MB.  the hard quota will be 512MB.  the grace period will be one
week.

this works as follows: your disk space usage should be below 256MB.
however, if you temporarily need more space, you can use more, up to
512MB, for up to one week.  after this time, if you are still using more
than 256MB, you will not be able to use any additional space.

disk quotas will be increased on request.  if you are presently using
more than 256MB, you _must_ mail ts-admins as soon as possible to
request a larger quota (or else, remove some files).  if you think you
will use more space soon, you should also send mail.

the exception is if i sent you mail last week regarding your disk usage.
in this case, i will set larger quotas for all users who replied.  if
you did not reply yet, you must do so.

if you did not get this mail, and do not mail ts-admins, you will get
the default quota.

        - river.
