Hi Jeff,

Thanks for clarifying. I have submitted a blog draft already that does talk about the anniversaries among other important things. But that blog having a different theme is not really going to be centered around the anniversary at all.

Ed, do let me know if another community highlight would make sense. So far, there has not been a single Wikimedia blog that even has any mention about Odia Wiktionary (Jeff, this could still be something you might consider! :) ) even though the project has helped build the first free-licensed Odia-language spell check engine.

Thanks,
Subha

Hi Subha!

Congratulations on the milestone! It's a wonderful testament to all Odia Wikimedians' hard work. The best place for anniversaries and milestones is in the blog's community digest, and I believe Ed can help you with that.

We've run social posts on Odia topics recently, and we need to make sure we share the social media "love" among different communities, especially considering you are now a WMF employee as well as a community volunteer. As Ed can tell you, when WMF employees ask for personal posts, I tend to be firm. : )

If you post a request for support in the Facebook group, people there can like and share it, and it's not just up to me and the verified accounts.

Try Ed and the blog, and congrats again!

Hi Jeff and other friends at WMF,

The Odia Wiktionary is turning 11 on this June 16. The community is organizing an online campaign so that each Wikimedian in the larger community will create at least one entry. Here is the event page: https://or.wiktionary.org/s/o4n
Can you please help spread the word on Twitter and Facebook in about 21 hours from now (considering the time difference between SF and here in India, that would be the perfect time to catch one's attention)?

There is no Twitter/Faceook presence of Wiktionary but feel free to tag the community's flagship project Odia Wikipedia (@odiawiki on Twitter and Fb.com/odiawiki on Facebook)

Thanks in advance,
Subha
