Thanks for reviewing guys. Yeah my gut feeling was that it wasn't the right tone for social so glad we have that confirmed.

There's not much else worth sharing in the media report today except possibly Lila's trip, which hasn't really got the volume of coverage I was expecting it to. Possibly we could promote Jimmy's participation in the Angolan journalist open letter?

I'm on a personal errand right now but will get back in ten minutes or so.

Thanks again,
Joe

Yeah let's not - Knapp says some things I'm not sure we want to promote either (like editing anonymously I read right now). I have a problem with the interviewer's somewhat sarcastic tone.

But thank you Joe bringing this up!

I think that this article probably came from them, if they are linking to it at the top. I don't think we shoudl share the piece.

@Victor - WikiWands those guys are terrible - I caught the founder actually conducting COI editing for its page.

Run with that quote for social.

"I believe in free knowledge and free culture, and I believe in freedom and sharing community."

Hi all,

Supercompressor published a story yesterday on Justin Knapp, the Wikipedia editor with the most edits (1.4 million, in fact) - http://www.supercompressor.com/culture/meet-the-guy-who-s-made-1-4-million-wikipedia-edits-and-counting-justin-knapp

I just want to gauge the potential for writing up social for this story. It's from a reasonably seedy, linkbaity website but it's a nice interview, even if it reads ... less than professionally!

If anyone would like to give it a brief skim through before I go ahead and draft up potential SM copy for it that'd be much appreciated, since I'm on the fence as to whether or not we should be promoting it.

best,
Joe
