I would worry about a narrative that tied difficulties in community interactions to an alleged prevalance of Autism-spectrum disorders in the Wikimedia community, and I think you agree with that sentiment, but I'm not sure how this blog post ties into "a corrective for the negative narrative that has been developed about the editing community's attitudes in many places." Can you elaborate?

Without disputing or confirming that particular blogger's account that
she may have had unpleasant interactions on the Dutch Wikipedia: It
would be unfortunate if Guillaume's call for neurodiversity became an
excuse for people to remotely diagnose mental health issues in
Wikipedians who correct or delete their contributions (and yes, I
realize that it is purposefully and rightfully never called a disorder
in Guillaume's post - but in other parts of society we are still far
from "autistic" not being perceived a pejorative). On the other hand,
Guillaume's post might become very valuable as a corrective for the
negative narrative that has been developed about the editing
community's attitudes in many places. After all, what's so wrong about
an encyclopedia being written by people who are "obsessed with
citations, references, and verifiability"?
