So happy to see this blog post and this social media!

Nepali WP has a special place in my heart. :)

FWIW,

I think the first and fourth tweets are the best ones. The second and third don't fully convey the magnitude of what he's accomplished in the same way, especially the one about him being in bed (made me wonder: is he disabled, or worse, just lazy?? even though we know he's neither!!).

In the f/g posts, not sure about the words "bringing exposure" but not sure how to make it sound better. I do think the second post about his mother will be perfect for fb.

HTH,
Anna :)

Ram Prasad Joshi: Writing Wikipedia from the western hills of Nepal

  • f/g: Editors like Ram Prasad Joshi are bringing exposure to some of the most remote places in the world. "On Wikipedia I write about geography, history and culture of my surroundings," he says. "I am a Hindu so I write about the Hindu religion and Hindu culture. I edit and write new articles on the Sanskrit, Hindi, Fijian, Bhojpuri and Gujrati Wikipedias, as well as in Nepali. I can introduce my village, my locality and my culture to the world."https://blog.wikimedia.org/2014/06/24/writing-wikipedia-from-the-western-hills-of-nepal/
