Like them both (and good article!) only quibble for the Twitter one would be perhaps a 'how' at the start? ("How volunteer editors work..." ) not necessary but sounds a bit better in my head.
For the facebook one I like the added depth but kinda like the draw from the twitter post? Maybe combine the two?
