Pine, that's a simplification that has been made by everyone because it's accurate, broadly speaking.

Ed, just in general I would avoid saying that Wikipedia is written entirely by volunteers, because we know that it's not. There are student editors who may not have exactly volunteered for Wikipedia assignments, and there are paid editors who range from the transparent and ethical to the opaque and dishonest.
