Hi Pine,

That is true: only admins go through and are able to remove spam (sorry Facebook is proprietary :/). Myself and the rest of the comms team partakes in clean up efforts for the spam that is posted in the comments section.

There is :) sadly it's easier on Wikipedia ;). An admin has to manually scroll through the comments, then you can  hide the comment (which only shows it to the user and their friends) then if you want you can actually delete and/or ban the user. Add to the infinite scrolling slowness etc and I kinda prefer the mediawiki system (for all it's flaws) which at least makes it easier to discover the spam.

I know Michael goes through occasionally to clean it up but since you mentioned I just went through the past few days :)

Is it possible to delete the spam in the comments section of Wikipedia FB posts? I delete spam when it shows up on wiki and I hope someone can delete spam from social media comments with a few clicks.

Thanks!

Pine
